Yang Lan

Yang’s practice explores the emotional and atmospheric dimensions of landscape through oil painting, printmaking, and digital experimentation. She holds an MFA in Studio Art  from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, an  MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston, USA and BA in Visual Arts (Painting) from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan.

Working between observation and intuitive abstraction, she engages with shifting perspectives, ecological transformation, and memory. She aims to capture the motion, energy, and atmosphere of the environments she encounters, having lived, worked and taught in Jordan, China, US, and Canada
