We're proud to announce the launch of modern art in our exhibitions programme. Our newly renovated upstairs gallery room will host carefully considered showcases of modern Arab art, in ongoing collaboration with George Al Ama and Amjad Ghannam. This marks an exciting new step in our gallery, and a continuation of our previous work with George and Amjad. Moving forward, our exhibitions programme will include two simultaneous exhibitions - contemporary works downstairs and modern art upstairs.
The first edition will be thr group exhibition Essence of Egypt / عطر مصر - a presentation of Palestinian artistic journeys shaped in Egypt and inspired by its art and culture, featuring works by Nabil Anani (b. 1943), Samira Badran (b. 1954), Tayseer Barakat (b. 1959), Mostafa Al Hallaj (1938-2002), Kamel Al Moghani (1944-2008) and Abdul Rahman Al Muzayyen (b. 1943)
